JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a skilled spray painter to join our production team. As a spray painter, you will be responsible for the preparation, smoothing, and repairing work
To ensure success as a spray painter, you should have excellent hand-eye coordination, good knowledge of paint mixing techniques, and strong attention to detail. As a spray painter, you are expected to be responsible for spraying machines, products, and work areas with decorative or protective paint using a spray gun. You should be able to produce even, hard-wearing coatings that exactly match the colors and finishes requested.
  • Meeting with clients and work managers to discuss design and color choices.
  • Removing rust and other loose materials using appropriate methods and perform a thorough power wash.
  • Filling cracks and nominal repairs to surfaces that need to be sprayed.
  • Applying masking tape and coverings over areas that are not being sprayed.
  • Selecting and mixing the required coating material.
  • Selecting and attaching the correct spray nozzle to create the desired spray pattern.
  • Spraying subject areas using industry techniques.
  • Cleaning spray cans, nozzles, and other spraying equipment after each spray job.
  • Inspecting and assessing spray coatings after the paint has dried.
  • Use a variety of hand tools, such as brushes, paint rollers, and sponges as well as hand power tools
  • Caulking, painting and other duties as required.
  • Responsible for shop and office upkeep.
  • Assisting with document control.
  • You are able to perform manual labour and lift up to 25 kilograms.
  • Able to work outside on construction sites, or home renovation sites,
  • Strong attention to detail, basic math skills and knowledge of basic hand tools and automated machinery and proper use.
  • Having a valid boom lift operator license, Scissor lift ticket, and Working at Heights would be an asset,
  • Experience in drywall, subfloor, flooring, windows and doors, insulation, HVAC and general handiwork is considered an asset.
